We love Keatyn for many reasons, and thought it would be fun to share the top six reasons why we love her.

1. She's fun, confident and sassy, but she can also be chill, easy going, and laid back. She's the kind of person that everyone can (and wants to) be friends with.

2. She loves her family and is close to her mom, stepdad, and little sisters. Protecting her sisters was the reason she decided to leave her family even though she was scared.

 

3. We want her closet! It's HUGE and looks like a high-end boutique. Black and white brocade wallpaper. Sleek, black cabinetry. Shoes, boots, and bags lined up in perfect, color-coordinated order. It´s her favorite room, (you can almost sense the little tear in her eye when she proudly talks about it) and it show Keatyn's love for shoes, shopping, and pretty dresses.

 

4. She's much more than a dress-up city girl. Keatyn is just as comfortable all glammed up as she is sans makeup on the beach. She shows mad skills on a surfboard, and she feels just as much home on the wave as in a high-end boutique.

 

5. WE WANT HER BOYS. Keatyn is really lucky to have lots of guys in her life. Best friends, lovers, stepdad. They all have great personlities and mean a lot to her. (Should we point out a few of them? - Riley and Dallas are her best friends that will always protect her and make her laugh. )

6. Her face is expressive, and she has a natural talent for acting. Since she has a secret, she can't share her feelings with people and that means her natural talent comes in very handy. She has a great pout that no man can say no to. (Admit it, you do it too....)

I love to write, even if it isn't what is conventional and makes everyone feel giddy inside. I usually pull from dreams, or ideas that just thrust themselves into my head. I have what some would describe as a dry sense of humor, and I think its conveyed in my writing. I like to think I am a kick ass chick, but I can also be sensitive. I'm learning to grow thick skin, and in this field, it is definitely needed!

Rushing out of Chet O’Donnell’s office, angrily and haughtily, I face-plant straight into a strong, hard chest, covered in a wool, cable-knit sweater, smelling of expensive cologne.  People always say that the sense of smell is the most powerful sense, triggering memories and feelings clearer than any of the other four senses combined.  Just one smell, one inhalation of that warm, sexy designer cologne and my insides burn,

ignite with intense desire and longing.  Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.  No. No. No.

“I’m…I’m…I’m…” I stammer, backing up, dropping my head, and looking straight at the ground in humiliation.

“I’m…I gotta go,” I mumble, sidestepping out of his way, and heading straight for the elevator.  I push the button repeatedly, knowing damn well my actions won’t speed up the elevator’s arrival.

Tristan runs to catch me, just as I eye the stairwell and bolt for the door.  “Leah! What's Left Of Me is the debut novel from Amanda Maxlyn. Let me just say that I was captivated by this story from the very first word to the very last. 

Amanda's way of writing draws you right into the story. I was able to feel every single emotion of Aundrea's. The sadness, the loneliness, the moments of helplessness, but there were also many moments of sweet, hope., and love.

Aundrea is a strong and determied young woman with an extremely strong will to live.

From the the beginning you live Aundrea's trials and tribulations, of living with cancer, being forced to move to a new city, new people, and new experiences. 

Moving away from where her life is was the last thing Aundrea wanted to do, but life had other things in mind for Aundrea. And none of it is bad. One night out with friends ends up turning Aundrea's life upside down and his name is Parker.

Parker and Aundrea both have expectations from their encounter, and they are far from the same. These two characters have a vast amount of every kind of attraction to each other. Amanda's refreshing writing style has you falling head over heels in love with the one of a kind, sexy Parker.

WIth an amazing storyline, a slew of dynamic characters, just the right amount of banter, and throw in a good load of angst you have a brilliant recipe for one helluva read. What's Left Of Me made me fall in love, ripped my heart out, put it back together, and then tore it back out and stomped the shit out of it, and that's all I can tell you for now.

What's Left Of Me gets a true 5 star rating from me. If I could give 10 it still wouldn't be enough.

Amanda Maxlyn, you knocked my books off with this read. I personally can't wait to see what else comes from that brilliant mind of yours. And readers if you haven't read yet, then what the hell are you waiting for?! Hurry, hurry, hurry, and then share your thoughts!
