They say the only good thing about hitting rock bottom is that it can't get any worse . . . or can it?
World famous boxing champ, Felix Sanchez, had it all—the fame, the fortune, and all the women any man could ask for. When the hours of partying followed by hours spent in court and in rehab begin to outnumber the hours he spends training, losing his title comes as no surprise to everyone. The world assumes he deserved to lose it.
Only those closest to Felix know the real truth behind his sudden downward spiral. And if Felix has his way, no one else ever will. With an uncertain future ahead of him, he heads back to his roots—5th Street—the gym that started it all for him. It's where he meets the humble but mighty little Ms. Ella.
The only times Felix had ever decided to forgo the usual meaningless fling and try a real relationship he was burned badly. Now the adorable but tenacious self-defense instructor has him considering this love thing one more time.
Then just when he begins to worry that his past is letting his possessive and jaded heart get the best of him, he's blindsided in the most brutal way—he's brought to his knees—to what could be the one low in his life he may never recover from.

First of all, I received an ARC of this book, a freaking paper back ARC sent from the US to the UK, to say I was humbled is an understatement & I will treasure it FOREVER!
I’ve loved this series from book one, Ms Reyes has covered many topics, age gap relationships, cheating, death, sick children & much more, well Felix’s story is no exception.
We start off with Felix the idiot, he’s fighting & sleeping his way through life, not a care in the world, his manager has had enough and even his friends are rolling their eyes out loud!
As much as I love Elizabeth Reyes writing and indeed this series I couldn’t help thinking - oh here we go again, bad boy comes good - and to a degree that’s true but whoa what a journey!
Felix meets Ella and is immediately drawn to her, she has a quiet strength and a desire to make a change, she tries so hard to avoid Felix’s pull but of course it’s useless! She’s had a tough life but it’s made her strong, she doesn’t complain, she just gets on with it.
I loved how they interacted, there were misunderstandings but it never blew up in their faces, they struggled at times but the drama was kept on the down low and I loved that about them both.
I don’t want to give away the main secrets of this book because what Felix went through is HUGE and life changing and explains his reckless behaviour, let the sob fest begin!
Just as Felix & Ella get onto an even keel their world is rocked to the core, petty ex boyfriends, rabid media & and Felix’s fight for his title just pale into insignificance & my heart broke for them, shit just got real and I really didn't know which way the story was going to go!
Ms Reyes did an awesome freaking job with this book, Felix is my new favourite (hey I’m shallow - Noah who?) the last chapter got me crying again and wrapped everything up beautifully, I wish this wasn’t the final book but it’s been one helluva ride and I’ve enjoyed every last word.
