Jake Mitchell has spent his whole life tied at the hip with his best friend and twin brother Jax. They’ve shared everything, except for women, which was easy since their tastes were so different.

Jax Mitchell isn’t the only one with his handsome face, though he wishes that were different. Everything’s changed in a short amount of time, after his twin brother came between him and his girlfriend, Reese.
With the hurt still lingering in every direction he turns, Jax picks up and moves to Kentucky to work on his uncle’s cattle ranch. It isn’t long until he meets someone that not only helps him get over Reese, but also encourages him to forgive his brother.
Can the twins make amends or has the damage that’s been done too much to forget?
JAKE
I don’t think it’s a spoiler that this is a love triangle story and it’s explosive to say the least.
First off I love Jake & Jax, spawned of the crazy Ty, tearaway toddlers to sexy as sin footballers, they clearly adore each other, always have each others back and have yet to spend any time apart in their 22 years.
So falling for the same girl is unknown territory and whilst Jake battles his feelings for Jax’s girl, Jax is totally oblivious to the storm brewing around him. Jake tries his best, swinging from indifference to straight out nastiness in an effort to do the right thing.
What we get next is angst, steam, mistakes & total freaking heartbreak, reminiscent of what their own father went through at their age. I’d like to have seen more of Colt & Van, I think they could’ve provided more of a perspective and helped the boys heal from what goes down.
I can’t decide what I think of Reece, she’s not bad people per se but sheesh flighty much!!!! I hope she gets the chance to change my opinion of her in Jax’s book because she irritated me lots and I don’t think she’s bad people but she made some bad decisions that ultimately hurt her as much as anybody else.
Jenn Foor took a huge risk with such a taboo subject and making us doubt characters we’ve grown to love but all credit to her because it totally paid off.

JAX
So onto Jax, he’s a broken soul, missing his other half and dealing with a broken heart.
Jax is a lot like Ty, the ultimate joker, always goofing about, teasing and rarely serious but he’s had a knock and he’s struggling to piece it all together, he knows he’s done the right thing but he now needs to find his place in the world, who’d have thought a boys night out at a strip club would turn his life on it’s head.
Amber is Miss unobtainable, she’s got a past that she’s trying to forget, she doesn’t trust and has lost all faith in love, her parents hate her, her ex is in prison & she’s fairly lonely in the world.
Jax sets his sights on her and from then on, its game on, they embark on a journey of discovery and despite Jax being mostly clown it’s quite beautiful how they learn from each other and support each other through their own family dramas.
Reese does redeem herself with me some from the way she was in Jakes book and Jake is just a sweetheart the way he will not give up and gives everything he’s got to win his brother back, especially when everybody is hurting and in turmoil.
All in all Jax & Amber go through the mill and as ever the course of true love does not run smooth but Jenn Foor has a way with this family of making sure that everybody is exactly where they're supposed to be.
